Chapelizod Community Festival 2008
29 June - 6 July 2008

Reemo

Date:- 5 July 2008
Venue:- The Bridge
Time:- 9 p.m.

Music Night

Formed in 2003, Reemo have come a huge distance since recording their first tentative demos. Their latest offering "Rushin man" has just spent 5 weeks flying high in the IRMA singles charts and being described as "Epic…" by one critic. The band is now busy with the recording of what is forming into a ambitious debut album. As of yet untitled, keep an eye and an ear out for the much anticipated summer 2007 release.

Since heading Stateside and winning 'Best International Band' at the New York International Music Festival, Reemo are been taken seriously within the music industry. The mid 2006 "Who you are / line" Double A side single confirmed this with the songs being play listed and receiving extensive National and local airplay throughout Ireland.

Some significant recent achievements for Reemo include:

• Final 12 for the National Student Music Awards 2007 (Dublin heat 7th march 2007 @ UCD) .
• Second single "Rushin' man" charting for 5 consecutive weeks in the IRMA Charts and peaking at 33 .
• Short listed for the prestigious NEMO Music festival in Boston .• Short listed for TG4's "Deis Roic" television show (unfortunately no fluent Irish speaker within members) .
• Debut single "Who you are / Line" reaching number 35 in IRMA Charts .
• Headlining to sold out clubs and venues around the country such as Whelan's / Cuba / Cypress avenue and many more.
• Winners of Hotpress competition to support the Revs.
• Supporting Aslan and Noel Gallagher's side project Tailgunner as part of their respective Irish tours.

With enthusiasm and excitement pulsating from within the Reemo camp, it's going to be hard to stop them. Reemo are Steven Connolly (Vocals), Paul McGlue (Lead Guitar), Conleth Dunne (Bass Guitar) and Alan Connolly (Percussion).
